Today I did some shopping (mostly getting stuff for people back east) and I also saw the new bowling alley with the arcade with the IIDX machine. I played one game on the IIDX machine, since I hadn't played at all since May or so when we went up to Canada for IIDX Red. I really should play more... maybe now I will since there's a machine. Anyway, I did play 20 November. There were two guys there who seemed reasonably nice. Matt-Met also showed up right as I was ready to leave, because I played one game of DDR (so I could play 20 November on that too), again not having played since May, wasn't warmed up at all and had a dry throat, so my sinuses acted up and I started coughing up a lung. I hadn't had that happen in so long (funny, running at the gym or playing volleyball or such doesn't set it off), but it's always seemed to be DDR-related, goddamnit, so I guess it's a good thing I don't play anymore. Stupid health issues.

Oren and I went to Blue C for dinner because I figure I won't have sushi again for a few weeks. Then I came home, and I watched my DVD of Harry Potter and Sirius Black, while trying to finish sewing up my PP banner. I suppose in theory I could just bring the damn thing east with me and work on it there... I've gotten all the hemming done and the flap for the dowel at the top, now I just need to sew on the fringe. I'm such a slow hand-sewer though that I'm estimating it'll take me another 3 hours which I'm not sure I have.

I GO TO PITTSBURGH IN LIKE 2 DAYS AAIIIIIEEEEE

Saturday, woke up late after staying up till 5am following Japan Series game 1. Oops. (Marines win 10-1!) Was going to watch World Series game 1 with Oren, then head to Tacoma to hang out with people, but the game didn't end until like 8:30pm and by then it felt like it was too late to go to Tacoma. (50 miles is far, yo.) Oren and I watched a few episodes of the live-action version of YUA, and then I came home.

I slept from 1am-8am -- missing the Japan Series game 2, where the Marines murdered the Tigers 10-0. Hee. I translated the game, then played in the Orny Tourney on PP, then I went out shopping. Picked up some Japanese baseball magazines at Uwajimaya (one of them had a precious feature on Kiyohara, heh), and lunch. (Thai Spice's idea of "medium spice" is what I would consider "really fucking hot".)

I went to Joann Fabric and I picked up... cloth an' stuff. I have an idea for a banner for the PP thing. It's truly... creative, but probably won't be particularly aesthetically pleasing. We'll see if I can get together enough of it by the deadline.

Went to Oren's to watch World Series game 2. I worked on sewing banner stuff during the game. All I have to say is - Podsednik? WTF? Also, I need a "Joe Crede is my boyfriend" shirt. Now I am home and more sewing, and I have "Mr. Baseball" on in the background. Hopefully sleep soon so I can get up early for work.

Yeah. It was fun. The Mariners lost and I didn't even care. Writeup's on Marinerds. For the stitchers, you should just look at the pictures (click on the one I posted here), since it'll pretty much show what kind of stuff they had. There were basically a whole bunch of tables up on the Lookout Landing deck with yarn and other craft stuff, including a lady who was spinning wool into yarn. It was neat. My friends and I went and knitted and watched the game, and Beckie even won one of the cool raffle prizes -- those were seriously nice kits, with lots of yarn and needles and patterns and other stuff.

Top Ten Other Reasons To Like The Mariners, even though they SUCK:

10. Stitch'n'Pitch Night at Safeco Field

"Bring your projects to the game, get help from the experts, view the latest samples from your area yarn shops and meet other knitters all while enjoying Mariners Baseball."

I just got email about this since I'm on the Mariners mailing list. How cool is that?

http://www.pacificfabrics.com/Events/ says that if we get tickets from their stores, we also get a free stitch'n'pitch t-shirt.

So cool! I hope I can find other people to go with me.
