Stitch'n'Pitch!

Top Ten Other Reasons To Like The Mariners, even though they SUCK:

10. Stitch'n'Pitch Night at Safeco Field

"Bring your projects to the game, get help from the experts, view the latest samples from your area yarn shops and meet other knitters all while enjoying Mariners Baseball."

I just got email about this since I'm on the Mariners mailing list. How cool is that?

http://www.pacificfabrics.com/Events/ says that if we get tickets from their stores, we also get a free stitch'n'pitch t-shirt.

So cool! I hope I can find other people to go with me.

I'd go to a game but pass on the stitching part.

Very cool! I wonder if any other teams are doing this sort of promotion. (Haven't heard about any for the Twins).

I'd be all over that, if they did it for the Twins. :)

I have an update of ye olde wedding website to go up soon and keep meaning to get emails out re Save the Date at least. I should post to LJ if nothing else. Has been crazy.

But anyway-- we are planning to buy a block of seats at the Dome for our guests and it'd be great to have you there!

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is going on that weekend, the hotel we'll have for the reception has shuttle service to the Mall of America and of course there's lots of other neat stuff in the Twin Cities.

We'll be doing a reception/party after the Twins game, possibly with a dance that night (though most of my friends don't dance, we hope to have a cool band).

I hope to get a room block at the reception hotel with rooms at somewhat reasonable rates. Kevin and I will likely have some crash space available at our house and we also know plenty of folks in town with guest rooms so I'm sure something could be arranged.

Squid and I'd let you scrounge, too, I bet, if you don't mind a little cat fur and a lack of AC. (Depending on the time of year . . . )

Oh, and we're on the Other Side Of The River in St. Paul, but pretty much equidistant between the cities. :)

Thats really neat! I'd go if I were in Seattle.

Fenway does nothing like that, since they sell out every game. I think it's like 190 sell out games in a row now. They don't do any sort of events any more.

I'd totally attend if the Jays did this.
