A simple Saturday

This afternoon I went to the Angels-Mariners game with Drew, Jason, and Drew's dad. The game sucked (9-1), except when Ichiro hit a home run that bounced off Vladimir Guerrero's glove and made him punch the wall in annoyance. Jason showed us a cool coffeeshop in Pioneer Square called Zeitgeist that I'll have to remember for the future.

This evening, I went out to dinner at Chinook's with Will Frank and Dale Newfield. It was good to catch up with them. Dale's homeless and driving around all over the country; I kind of envy him and at the same time would be terrified to do the same thing.

I got a postcard from Nick from Scotland. Looks like it took approximately a week and a half to get here?

Today I went to the Angels-Mariners game with Oren. We saw jcreed playing center field and kicking butt! He was really good. You should have seen this awesome running catch he made in the 6th inning.



The Mariners at least only lost this game by one run. I'll spare you guys the details; it'll be in the usual spot if you want to read my baseball writing, as you know. Though, I will link for the benefit of Bayani and Megan, the coolest picture of Jason Kendall ever.

After the game, Oren and I hung out and watched the Cardinals-Cubs game on TV for a while, and then decided to go up to Taste of India for dinner, where I discovered something super-awesome: TOI UNLIMITED ICED CHAI! Holy crap, as if it wasn't awesome enough when they have normal hot unlimited chai, they have iced unlimited chai too! Woo.

I was supposed to pick up Josh and Megan from the airport tonight, but they appear to be stranded in Las Vegas. Maybe that means I'll actually go to sleep soon instead, once I finish writing up the game.
