Today I went to the Angels-Mariners game with Oren. We saw

jcreed playing center field and kicking butt! He was really good. You should have seen this awesome running catch he made in the 6th inning.

The Mariners at least only lost this game by one run. I'll spare you guys the details; it'll be in the usual spot if you want to read my baseball writing, as you know. Though, I will link for the benefit of Bayani and Megan, the coolest picture of Jason Kendall ever.

After the game, Oren and I hung out and watched the Cardinals-Cubs game on TV for a while, and then decided to go up to Taste of India for dinner, where I discovered something super-awesome: TOI UNLIMITED ICED CHAI! Holy crap, as if it wasn't awesome enough when they have normal hot unlimited chai, they have iced unlimited chai too! Woo.

I was supposed to pick up Josh and Megan from the airport tonight, but they appear to be stranded in Las Vegas. Maybe that means I'll actually go to sleep soon instead, once I finish writing up the game.

Oh yes; yesterday I dreamt that a Friend who I'm looking for dropped me off at Safeco Field to watch a game. The game had already started, so I go to buy a ticket. Regular tickets are $59, but I try to persuade the cashier that I'm still a student in England, using a copy of my passport and an old university card. It works and I buy a ticket for $11 instead. Good result.

Woah, I didn't know Jason played baseball! And here I thought he was playing CS theory all this time. I guess you really can eat your cake and have it too. Or baseball. And theory. With the travel. And...

JUMBOTRON!!

Yeah the plane flights to and from the games really cut into math-time, but I live for my fans, yo.

I should get some pictures of the other Reed-isms they put on the jumbotron when Jeremy Reed does cool things. Such as "I feel the Need... for REED!" and whatnot. The "J-Reed" thing always makes me do a double-take, though.

Unlimited chai seems to me a dangerous thing to consume in the evening.
