Woke up and all that stuff. Hung out at Rif's place for the afternoon. Kui and Damien and I played a game of Starfarers, interrupted for a little bit to go grab Thai food for lunch down the street. It was a pretty good game of Starfarers, and Kui won. Shortly after that game Muffy came home and so the four of us played Pirate's Cove, which Jeff and I tied for winning.
Fun afternoon and then I took off to go down south a bit after 6pm. Drove down to Mountain View and met up with Tim and his girlfriend Jen at umm... wossname, Fiesta Del Mar? We had yummy yummy Mexican food and talked for a while, and then Jen went home and I ended up accompanying Tim to some going-away party for a friend of his who is moving to Seattle. Surprisingly, I did pretty well schmoozing for a "I know nobody here and am severely underdressed" situation, but we left after like 20-30 mins. Went to, of all places, SVGL :) I played a game of IIDX and a kickass game of Medieval Madness (49 million points, I was like ONE SECOND from getting Royal Madness, I seriously missed the last troll hit JUST as it was going down and I had all the others), and then Jen actually came up to SVGL and the three of us played mini golf. Yes, I actually played mini golf at a golfland. This NEVER happens. :) Tim totally kicked our butts, but it doesn't matter, it was fun anyway.
Whee, then I drove back up here. Everyone's playing some other board game so I'm logged in for a bit.
It was a seriously good day. I miss Tim. As a total non-sequitur, I also miss Carl. Hm. And, this trip is a blast. I wish I could do stuff like this forever!
We were talking about the PP party thing today and I decided that I should give up on the bodice/gown outfit and go make my McPirate outfit instead so people recognize me, hehe. And aprons are easier to find...
