Jeff is actually letting me use the laptop for a minute so I can actually update this! wheee! I'm currently at Muffy/Rifkind's place again, so.

Yesterday i left I-Gene's and drove up to Berkeley to Kuibbles's place. I didn't get lost until I got to Berkeley itself, much to my surprise. Got to Kui's place, we hung out for a while and went and got lunch on the edge of campus. Then we went and picked up two other PP people from my flag (Nautilus and Swift), and went into the city. Picked up Jeff, and then went over to Puzzle Pirates HQ...

We got there like 3pm. Kui couldn't remember the right number to dial so he dialed one... yelled "YARRR!!" into the speaker and they hung up. Whoops, wrong one. We laughed over that and then he picked another one, dialed up, yelled "YARRR!!!" into the speaker, and the door buzzed, so we figured we had the right one! Hehe. We went upstairs and met Cleaver, except... he explained they were all about to go up to the roof for martial arts. Oops. So we said hi to Bluebeard for a bit and hi to the other devs that were there (I'm not even clear on who they were. I know Nemo was not there. I think it was Peghead and Red). And then we left and said we'd come back.

Walked over to Viz so Jeff could drop off a resume, and then Naut and Swift left us to go to Japantown. Kui and Jeff and I went to SBC park and bought tickets to the game for the evening, and I got a Giants Hello Kitty (wheee!!!!) and then we went to Borders for an hour to waste time, and then we went back to PP headquarters! We got Cleaver and Bluebeard to play Fronsac's card game, and we hung out talking for a while. I can't really say much of what I saw or heard there -- what I can say is that I asked about the PP party, and the costume thing is *saturday* night and for everyone and the Friday night thing is going to be super-invite-only with like maybe 20 players getting to go -- so I think that it's quite safe to have the Looterati party on that Friday night. Yay. The other neat thing is that they have a speaker set that plays PP sounds when people subscribe either monthly, quarterly, or yearly. It's really awesome (and somewhat startling when it happens). They have a huge map of the world up with all the timezones, too... that's pretty cool! And there's just lots of games and toys and stuff all over the place. It looked like a lot of fun to be there. And the devs are all really nice!

Well, after we talked to Cleaver for WAY TOO LONG, we got to the baseball game an inning late. Our seats were fantastic though! Row 26, behind home plate on the first base side. It was 1-0 Arizona when we got there but I explained that whenever I go to a baseball game and root for a team, that team wins. And sure enough, the Giants won :) Although it was a very close game. They were up 4-3 in the 9th and then the closer let up a home run and then it was 4-4 so it went to a 10th inning. Barry Bonds got intentionally walked THREE times (his .slg is like 800 and his .obp is like 600 - how scary is that??) and in the tenth, he got walked, got to 2nd on a wild pitch, and then scored when someone else got a hit, and blam, game over. It was really funny because whenever Barry got intentionally walked, people would start waving rubber chickens around in the air. Hehe. After the game ended we walked around the stadium a little - we wanted to climb the Coke bottle but didn't quite get there in time, oh well.

Came back to Rifkind's after that... Kui wanted to show Jeff how to play Settlers of Catan, so we started setting it up, and I asked Rif to play and she said no but then decided to as she saw us setting up. We played two games, Kui won the first and Jeff the second and shrug, it was fun anyway. Then we hung out a bit and Kui and I played the PP storytelling game for a bit, and then sleep, and now Jeff and Kui are setting up Starfarers so I should log out and wait for [profile] ts4z to call me back and stuff like that. Yar.
