The rest of the evening
Jul. 21st, 2003 01:46 amYeah, so I AA'ed Look At Us with 35 greats. Of course I was playing with Dylan and he got like 6 on it, but still. After that set I left. I ostensibly told people I had to leave to go to work in the morning, but I was actually lying. What I was really doing was going over to DJ/Rumi/etc's place to hang out for a bit and play PNM since DJ thought it'd be good timing to go during the party since we could have some quality time with the PNM stuff. And I was at the point at the party where I was really just watching people more than doing anything anyway.
So anyway, DJ's Pop'n'Music setup is to die for. He has the Arcade Style Controller up on an ironing board, and a huge TV, and PNM8, 7, and Best Hits for the PS2... oh man! So many songs! I got to play a ton of fun awesome stuff and it was super-cool. I loooooooove Sana songs. And good-cool and... and they put songs like Linus and Massara and 321 Stars in PNM, and I did try Daikenkai just for the heck of it... it was pretty weird. It was good to hang out with DJ and Rumi for a while since I haven't been over there in ages. And Rumi reminded me again why I want a GBA-SP... dammit! She was playing Mario 3 on it :(
I left around 1:10 because I do indeed have work in the morning. On my way out I saw Fuj and Cory and Ryan and Keevon and Steve getting in the elevator to go up. Bad timing, I guess... or good timing, because if I'd stuck around to hang out with Fuj I'd never get up in the morning for my team meeting. So it does suck that they came to town and I didn't see them... oh well. Mark (Kenshinhan)'s going to be hella jealous when he hears about DJ's PNM setup though.
Gaaah, there's a lot I kind of want to say about feeling like a total outsider to the whole Bemani community these days, but I think I want to sleep more than I want to babble, so good night.
