dr4b: (hello kitty)
I barely remember work today. After work I went to the Mariners-Yankees game as my day-after-my-birthday thingy. I gave tickets to Eli for him and Josh in the morning 'cause they'd be carpooling in... and then met up with Tanya and James at Uwajimaya a little after 6:30, and we walked to the stadium and found Ryan (Farren, whose birthday was today). We went into the stadium, found our seats, etc, people got food, eventually Eli and Josh showed up, the game started, I got food, etc, it was all dandy, Edgar Martinez hit a sweet home run in the first or second inning... it was 3-0 Mariners... everything was just peachy...

...AND THEN FREDDY GARCIA LET UP 9 RUNS IN THE 3RD INNING TO THE FUCKING YANKEES. They ended up scoring 10 runs in that inning after Mateo came in. It was insane. They got through their lineup one and a half times. GRRR. I mean, we wondered if the score people were going to run out of numbers to put up for the inning. Etc.

So we spent the rest of the game watching the stadium enter out and betting on how many runs the Yankees would score total. I think Eli and James went for 15, I went for 18, Josh said he would have said 17. The final score was 16-5. It was insane. I mean, we actually had a pretty good time hanging out and watching the game regardless, at least I did... it was a really nice day out weather-wise, watching the sunset was fun, there was other music and trivia and stuff going on. And these four obnoxious little boys behind us, I kept wanting to yell STFU at them, but eventually they just went away. Oh, and kettle corn and pretzels. And stuff. And the seats were actually really good seats for the 300 level... and I love going to baseball games. So it was great. I just wish they hadn't gotten quite so hammered by the Yankees. And Olerud wasn't playing... and even Ichiro got switched out towards the end. Sasaki pitched the 9th inning and actually did pretty well, 3 up 3 down.

Unfortunately, Oakland won tonight, so we're now tied for first in the AL West. Stoopid Yankees.

On the other hand, due to a bunch of random circumstances it appears I'm going to the Mariners-WhiteSox game tomorrow night with James. So that should be fun, especially since we totally massacred the White Sox last weekend. And I can wear my Olerud shirt instead of my Damn Yankees shirt :)
A belated thank you to all the people who sent me birthday wishes and presents and such. I'm sorry I was in such a crappy mood on my actual birthday. I'm also feeling pretty awful about the fact that Eli's family sent me a bunch of birthday gifts and my family only sent me cards... but I don't know how to comment on it any further without sounding stupid, so I won't. I suck.

On the bus this morning I was thinking about music. deanna rambles about TMBG and BNL for a bit )

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?

No, no, no, no, no. I am chaos. Though I'm pretty organized for someone whose life is mostly chaos, I guess.

2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?

No, I store everything in my head. It usually works.

3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?

I used to, but I haven't really since moving across the country. My Japanese CDs are in alphabetical order by kana, my English CDs are about 60% in alphabetical order. My books are organized by section but that's about it.

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?

Birthday dinners for myself or anyone else.
