dr4b: (yawn)
i should write this before i read anything else :)

I had a great day! Well, work wasn't so great - someone I needed to talk to, it turns out, was OOTO today. Whoops. I did do some good writing of a few pages but I did not finish EVERYTHING and so I will probly get the smackdown on Monday. Oh well.

Anyway, AFTER work, I met up with James at Uwajimaya and we walked over to Safeco Field. Since we didn't have a bunch of people to coordinate, we actually got to the game, got food, and were in our seats by 7:05. Josh now has season tickets behind the right field fence (section 106). It's definitely DIFFERENT than section 116 was, but the seats are still pretty decent. It was like... Ichiro was RIGHT THERE! We were like 7 rows back from the field. The only thing that's a little non-ideal is that you have to turn your head to look at the big screen. But, I'm not going to complain when someone's cool enough to give me Mariners tickets. :)

So, the game was pretty good. We won 6-3. Ryan Franklin pitched most of it for our side - Hasegawa pitched the 8th inning and Nelson pitched the 9th. It was cool, the Mariners were hitting really well tonight. Olerud and Martinez and Ichiro and all... and Guillen got TWO TRIPLES! They were really exciting. It was pretty cool to watch the outfield stuff from the outfield... I'd never sat in seats like that for a ballgame, at least not any time I remember recently. And it was a REALLY nice day to be outside - it was a gorgeous sunset and it was warmer than yesterday. All in all, a good evening. And James is a good person to be at a baseball game with. We should go more often.

So anyway, after the game we walked to the 358 bus stop and got there just in time to get the bus. On the way there I was thinking that I didn't really want to wait for or ride the bus alone, so I said something like "you could take the 358 too... and transfer to the 44" and James said something like "and go to Sunset for DDR?" and I was like "YEAH! TOTALLY!" Haha. So it turned out we were both serious about going to Sunset... so we got off at 46th street or whatever and caught the 44 bus to Sunset.

In the middle of our first game of DDR, who shows up but Chris Danford and Keel! THAT WAS SO FUCKING COOL! OMG. I had just been thinking about how I hadn't seen them in so long! So James and me and Chris and Kyle played DDR until like 3am. :) Time flies when you're having fun. It was really awesome, we played a ton of stuff - the only thing that sucked is that the 1P down arrow is godawful and I had a lot of trouble getting it to register. But everyone else was ok with it. I saw Kyle full combo the World Tour oni course. And Chris and Kyle did goofy freestyle stuff - they're SO funny and cool. It was awesome. And for once the alley wasn't totally crowded or filled with smoke or anything. James got some random light AAA (SSHM?). We played some stuff with crazy mods (hey [profile] sorjai, does TOC still exist, yo?) Man. So much fun! What a great group to hang out with :) I really had a blast.

So Kyle gave everyone a ride home, which was way cool of him. And we'll all hopefully hang out again sometime soon! *happy*

Tomorrow morning/afternoon Eli and I are going to Portland for the weekend. I'll probly go play DDR with [profile] diskozombie on Sunday afternoon if anyone's interested... it'd be cool to see [profile] sleeplessone and Meghan and all, but I don't have any of their phone numbers - shrug. I'm looking forward to seeing people and going to Powell's and Avalon though. Yay!
