I got my first AAA ever tonight :)
Today my work group went out for dinner at a swank restaurant together and I ditched it to go to IZ for 20 November. (To be honest I really didn't want to get all dressed up, and I never appreciate expensive food. Seriously.)
IZ was a ghost town of course. Farren and I were there, and Warren the juggler guy, and Tada. That's like... it. How totally depressing compared to last year. However, the up side is that there's a Pop'n'Music 3 AND a Pop'n'Music 5 on the floor now. The downside is that PNM 3 has no hispeed as far as I can tell. So I played a ton of Pop'n'Music as it's probly my favorite game right now of Bemani. I also played a lot of DDR. I played the song "20, November" on the DDR USA machine, and the solo 4th+, and both DDR Extremes, and I played it on DDR Extreme on every level on Single, and on Heavy Double (which I failed, of course). I was wearing my Mike Schmidt #20 t-shirt with the big big 20 on the back too, just to be a smartass.
So the exciting thing is that at one point since I'd gotten like 3 greats on 20 November Light, I joked to Farren, "Ok, I'm gonna go AAA it now," and he said "ok, have fun," and he went to play PNM, and I played a set of all 20 November Light... and I AAA'ED IT ON THE SECOND SONG! I've never ever ever gotten an arcade DDR AAA before, so this is like super-exciting. Especially since hey, it's the 20th of November, and I AAA'ed 20 November! Whee! I started screaming "OH MY GOD!" and Tada came over and saw my score, so I do have a witness :) Sadly Farren was mid-PNM-song when the score disappeared, but I think he heard me screaming, at least. Next time I need my camera I guess.
Quit around 9:30, Farren gave me a ride to the Park&Ride, and I got the bus and went to Seattle, and Eli picked me up from downtown. I got home and played some Puzzle Pirates, mostly trying to scrounge up some money to buy cannonballs with. How silly :) Hey, I got my gunnery up to Solid/Legendary, go me.
It snowed here! There's snow outside! I didn't see it fall, but there's like, a small sheet of snow on the car and around the house a little. I bet/hope it'll be gone by morning.
I can't decide how I feel about how I spent tonight... I don't know, maybe I should have gone to the dinner thingy instead of IZ? Though then I wouldn't have an AAA... I don't know. DDR community depresses me.
