Gonna make a big Bemani order soon, I think. Just have to decide which games are worth getting... I'm getting KBM, and then debating between the DrumMania home game, or maybe something else.

Ryan got a job, so it's unclear whether he'll still be able to go to IZ on Wednesday nights. The other Ryan now has physics lab Wednesday nights until 7pm. So I'm debating switching my weekly run to either Tuesday or Thursday...

Well, if you have that Tuesday or Wednesday evening free, you should come to Illusionz with me... that'd probably be the best thing to do. Two DDR Extreme machines, a USA, a Disney's Rave, a Solo 4th+, a Pop'n'Music, a PPP 2nd, DM 5th, GF 6th, KBM 3rd, DanceManiax... we might have upgraded the DM/GF by then, but still. I don't think it's likely I could get any of the REALLY good players (like Lith) to show up on a weekday, but you'd probably get to see some of the really awesome people in action anyway.

DTExpress is really expensive, isn't it? I might just go with the DM controller and try to figure out something for the bass pedal (tape it down?).

My level isn't that high. I mostly play stuff around level 25-40 (on DM5th).

I'm hoping to get to see this Illusions place. I'll just see how my schedule is when I get there.

The dtxpress is expensive. I got mine on a close out last model sale. I wasn't really recomending it, just mentioning that I had something close to arcade expereicne on it. (and it's also for the band and stuff, to justify the price.)

The problem with the bass petal isn't just it sliding around, it's also that there is no good foot possiton where it's comfortable, but it should do you for practice. You just don't get the nice heel on the floor foot action, you sort of have to stomp on the petal from above. Maybe taping it would help.

To clarify: the DM home bass pedal is a piece of crap. It is to Bemani controllers what E.T. was to Atari 2600 games. Dee, count on either using auto-bass or building your own bass pedal. It's just that bad.
