Nov. 15th, 2008

Hoping I can snarf wireless to post this. I did spend an hour at McDonald's tonight leeching wireless but mostly used it to chat with people and send a few emails.

Anyway, today I spent the entire day at the Tokyo Dome. Got there at about 12:10, watched the China (Tianjin Lions) vs. Korea (SK Wyverns) game, where Korea STOMPED China 15-0 and the game was called after 7 innings. Westbay screwed up where people were allowed to go so I just went and sat right behind the Wyverns dugout and took photos and eventually Westbay, Simon, and Matt all joined me. It was so quiet in the stadium that I am fairly sure the Wyverns team could actually hear us in their dugout. Heh.

After that we went for Indian food in LaQua -- we were joined by Aaron of EWC, who is in Japan for this event, and his boss. It was interesting.

I ducked out at 4pm or so to meet up with one of my Fighters fan friends, and felt really bad because he waited in line by himself for like an hour. And he brought Krispy Kremes from the new KK that opened in Kawasaki! We went into the stadium as it opened for the 6pm game, at 4:30, and saved a row of seats, and were eventually joined by Matt, Simon, and later Pau, and Simon's dad.

I cheered for Seibu and they did win 2-1 behind another solid outing by Takayuki Kishi. <3! I liked Hirao's cheer because it was easy to remember and funny to do (it's just like "kattobase kattobase, let's go hirao, oh oh oh, gachiri, ikouze, warera na hira- OH OH OH!!!"). Shame I go back to hating Seibu next week -- I honestly can't imagine a circumstance where I cheer for them next year... but for this time it was fun waving flags and yelling and all.

The game was over REALLY quickly, it ended at like 8:30pm. After that, most of our group dispersed, with half of us heading off towards Suidobashi, stopping in a few stores and looking at baseball crap on the way.

I said goodbye and came home to Motohasunuma station, it's nice to ride my bike.

Came home and there was another cockroach in the kitchen. Sigh. I could have sworn bug season was supposed to be over, dammit.
