So yeah.

I stayed up until around 9am, because after Carl called me at 7:30am to say he missed his flight I just couldn't sleep.

Slept from 9am-3pm. At 3pm I talked to him again and whee! He was going to be on a flight getting out here at 10:30pm.

Except... I still had tickets to tonight's baseball game and couldn't exchange them at this point.

So in a fit of genius, I called up [profile] bpr and he said he'd go to the game with me.

I drove out to Redmond to get him from Microsoft, and then to the game. It took bloody forever at rush hour. I was dumb to do that. We got to the 7:05 game around 7:25. Got food and got seated by around the middle of the second inning.

It was a pretty good game, except as usual, I am too fond of the Angels, therefore they won. I was really pissed off that they didn't use any of their bullpen that I like though. I was all psyched to see Brendan Donnelly and Troy Percival and since the Angels had such a lead, neither of them came out. Grrr. The highlight of the game, at least to Brian, was when Vladmir Guerrero got hit by a pitch, and somehow this turned into a benches-emptying scuffle on the field. Shiggy was going around pretending to punch people (being his former teammates and all it didn't look serious). It was pretty laughable actually.

I CANNOT believe the Mariners waivered Hiram Bocachica. How stupid is that? Gaah gaah gaah gaaah stupid fucking Mariners and their stupid fucking roster games. And Madritsch is just NOT worth it IMO.

Anyway, Brian and I drove down to the airport after the game, picked up Carl, then I ran Brian back to Redmond, and Carl and I came back here. We logged into PP in time to go "Blockades suck, oi" and stuff, staying up talking until 2:30am or so. I should not still be awake but I'm retarded (and was doing shop runs in PP). And damn it's hot.

Tomorrow, Farren's going to come over and hang out, yay! And maybe we'll go hunting down people to play games with or something... I just hope we can find a place to hang out that isn't going to be totally scuppering sweltering hot.
I posted this to the YPP forums, but eh, I always archive them here too. Though I have an awful feeling that this song in particular is going to be too obscure for most people on PP to appreciate, bleh.

(To the tune of "Doin' What Comes Nat'rally" from the musical "Annie Get Your Gun")

Still when we sail out to sea, I'm doin' lots of carpentry! )
