I AM IN WEAN!
(For those playing the home game, Wean Hall is an 8-story concrete box on the Carnegie Mellon campus full of people and computers.)
How cool is that? I'm sitting where solitude.weh.andrew.cmu.edu used to be, except it's leisuresuit now. Roman and I are going to get ToI for lunch. I was in the lounge and I saw Katie and Brian and Christina and Allwein and Alisa and Jorge and all. And a lot of freshmen I don't know.
Before that I was on planes and buses.
Before that I was packing and hanging out with Eli and stuff.
Before that I was at work. I got a prototype of my config pages out. I am majorly proud. I went to Kinokuniya and failed to find Carl 3/4 of his manga list. He asks for obscure stuff.
Well, so anyway, it will be good to see people. I'm tired and jetlagged, but yar!

Nov. 14th, 2003 04:23 pmThere is nothing that's as thoroughly delightful as walking up to the door of a friend's office, say "Hi Dave", and have them fall out of their chair with surprise, and then run up with a huge smile and give you a big hug and chat for half an hour.
It's so good to be back, in so many ways... it's bad too (all the students look SO YOUNG), but it's mostly good.
I went around wean and saw Daves M and K on the 3rd floor, and then I got lunch with Allwein and Roman, and we played Spades with Kevin, and then Jason Reed showed up!!! and I got to hang out with him and we wandered around Wean more and I saw Mark Stehlik (who found my OLR sonnet I wrote for him 6 years ago) and we visited Kevin W, and Alex, and Tom 7 (but Dan wasn't around), and... fun fun fun! I saw Christine in the lounge and Charlie! and Teki's brother and Alisa and just lots and lots of people. Christine and Dracai and I talked Puzzle Pirates for a bit. Shawn Knight took a picture of me, eek! A bunch of freshmen women were all poking my back because I am wearing my Set shirt. Kevin S and I went to the UC and we played a game of DDR. I played all 7-8 footers and averaged 15-20 greats per song, all AA's, and these people were just staring like "whoa." It's funny to be "good" at DDR again. Then I came back to Wean. I knocked rjmccall off his chair! I am here in the cluster now. I just saw Puuj. Mark, I tried calling you like twice, no answer. :P I'm heading back to the lounge now. Yar.
