Quiz night and whatnot
Aug. 5th, 2003 12:28 amToday I went to work and then to trivia night at the Celtic Bayou. Most of our normal team wasn't there, and since Eli's friend Daniel was the triviameister tonight, half of his team (namely ![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
agh and a guy named John) didn't have their team either... so we combined for a team of 6: Megan, Josh, me, Eli, Drew, and John. And we won first place :) Our team name was "Quack of House", so now we have a $25 gift certificate to the CB in the name of Quack of House. Guess this means we'll have to go back again sometime. Anyway, the highlights of trivia for me were getting a Harry Potter question, and also debating with Josh who hit the most home runs in World Series games. (Answer? Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson, Duke Snider, and Yogi Berra. We guessed David Justice and Lou Gehrig for the last two. Let's face it, I have a soft spot for Lou Gehrig. It's always the lefties and the first basemen...)
I had a shadow today again at work when I was getting lunch and I looked up and saw a guy who looked so incredibly familiar that I wanted to run up to him and say hi and start talking to him and all, but then I realized that I'd never seen him before in my life. It's so weird when that happens. So I went around cyberstalking my various coworkers until I figured out who he is, and wow, no wonder. The other funny thing is that a lot of Amazon folks have Livejournals or other blogs... and it's interesting to read several of them. I wonder how many of them have found mine (aside from those of you who are on my friends list)? It's kind of a curious thought - I don't really censor myself on here or anything - I just write what I did every day. I do sometimes get the feeling at work that there are more people who know me than people I know. But, I might just be deluded. Hey, if you're a fellow Amazonian stalking my journal, this is your turn to fess up and let me know, yo!
Also, to be funny, I decided to switch my photo in the company directory to a picture of Alice from DDR 5th mix. I really like the way it looks :)
I fear for my soul. I'm going to install Simcity 4K. See you all in a few weeks.
