Narrows Free Bemani night
Feb. 4th, 2003 02:00 amToday I went to work... Shawn was around, and he taught me how to do some of the stuff he does, so I can take over while he's out this week. I got chow fun from Uwajimaya and shopped around Kinokuniya. I didn't go up to get tickets to Chorus Line yet... I'll do that tomorrow, I hope.
After work I met up with Crackoon and Keiichi at Uwajimaya and we headed down to Tacoma for Narrows Free Bemani night. Lots of people were there. I gave Travis back his school ID which he left at my party, and I got back my Mario Kart 64 from Dylan, who took it home from my party. They had a little mini-tourney on one EX machine - S4R Cartoon Heroes. Steve won, of course. DDREX was the free game, so most of the evening was spent either playing EX, watching other people play, or playing other games. I did a lot of drums, a lot of PPP, a little KBM, PIU, BMCM2, etc. Bill gave us free credits on PPP, too! My New Balance shoes aren't working out great so far. Farren said it took him a while to break his in... so we'll see. Yay. Narrows wasn't too smoky. Thank god.
Afterwards we went to IHOP (we being, going around the table: Steve, Aaron, me, Farren, Keiichi, Crackoon, Dylan, Rayna, Amber, and Max). I hadn't been to an IHOP in SO long! I had Rooty Tooty Fresh'n'Fruity (haha,![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
alibash would be proud of me if he wasn't busy having fun in Japan). Yum. It was fun hanging out with people, lots of silliness, and I got to talk to Fuj on Amber's cellphone. Except I sat on the wrong side of Aaron (the only other lefty), and kept bumping elbows with Farren... silly right-handed people.
Walked back to the car at Narrows, went in for a bit because Crackoon had left his camera there. It was gone. Doh, we figured it was lost forever. I drove and drove. Drove Allan home to Bellevue, cut across 520 to drive James home. He's a freshman physics guy at UW, so he's in a dorm, and it was really funny trying to figure out how to get there, 'cause I don't know UW at all and he doesn't know the roads. Eventually we figured it out, and then I got to find my way out of campus and get home. I arrived home at midnight. Yes, it's almost 2:30 now. The short answer is: I suck. I also played pictionary online with Amber and Steve and Dylan and Ray and Laura and people. It was REALLY funny, funnier than you'd think it could be. Not as funny as real pictionary. Oh well. I'm going to sleep now. Really.
