Tonight I... watched movies. Eli was off at a music-gathering thing at Drew's house... ideally I would have found someone to hang out with, but oh well, I suck at that sometimes. I had suggested to someone we hang out tonight, a few days ago, but they decided they were too tired. I hate when I can't tell if someone's blowing me off or not.

Anyway, I watched two movies, did laundry, and hemmed another pair of pants to wear for DDR on Wednesday night. So, movies:

1) American Pie 2: Okay, I'd had this sitting around a while since seeing American Pie the first. Now... American Pie the first was just plain silly. This one was more than silly. I have to admit I even ended up fast-forwarding large segments of the movie due to sheer "this is dumb" factor. Most of them involved Jason Biggs, and those of you who've seen the movie can guess which ones. But, eh. Despite the general mindlessness of the film, I enjoyed where it ended up. Infact, I think Jim and *no spoiler I promise* getting together at the end was just great, and made me forget how retarded most of the rest of the movie was. I still think Finch is super-cool, and probably my favorite character (except maybe Jessica, now that I no longer sit there thinking "god, I hate her because of a particular person she reminds me of"). Most of the movie I could give or take. I guess it's because I never went to band camp.

2) Bring it On: well, in the vein of silly teenage movies... eh. So at least this one wasn't quite as in your face as American Pie 2. Actually, I'm not even really sure what to say about this movie. Mindless fluff really. Kirsten Dunst is cute and all, but I feel bad for her when she gets too old to keep playing teenage love interest roles. Still, it was kinda fun to watch the cheerleading stuff, and Jesse Bradford's character totally reminded me of like, the kind of guy I always wanted to go out with in high school or something. I think the ending was what needed to happen, too... it was right. Infact, everything except that goddamn choreographer was watchable, at least; I didn't feel like fast-forwarding half of this movie. And as Jeliza can tell you, the opening sequence is funny as hell, and worth watching the rest of the movie for.

Yeah, this is why I don't review movies for a living or anything. Besides, these were basically just mindless fluff... I kind of wanted to just rest and get my mind off stuff, really.

Sigh. Robby leaves tomorrow to spend a while back in Utah. Hopefully he'll be back in a few weeks! And he says Gilly remembered me from when I bought that memcard at EB, which is just *weird*. But cool. :)

Hey, they've started talking about plans for our next big Seattle-area DDR tournament in mid-to-late March, which they're hoping to gear towards attracting out of town people (a 64-person double elimination bracket heavy tech, among other things). It'd be SO cool if a bunch of people came here from out of town... any takers? Austin people? I've got crash space...

Uh, I felt kinda sick today but went to work anyway. Late, so I grabbed lunch at Westlake on the way in... finished the thingy I'm working on at work, at least. Robby and Allan said they were going to stop at Uwajimaya so I went looking for them but they didn't show. Instead I ended up in Kinokuniya for a little while, and the brilliant green's new album is out! So I bought it... I'm listening to it right now... It's not bad, but not great either, so far. I ran into Dylan (why do I always run into Dylan?) and was like "have you seen Robby? or Allan the Initial D guy?" and he was like "no, why?" and I explained that Robby is LEAVING TOWN and he was surprised. It's weird how some gossip travels and some doesn't.

Anyway, Paul gave me a ride home from work eventually and then I rested because my throat still hurt... played some IIDX. Passed Absolute Light-7 cold. :) Ended up going to the bowling alley late with Megan and Josh... bowled pretty well, got like a 145 and a 122 or something. Played DDR both before and after bowling. I got quite an audience, which is always fun... people think anything on SSR is impressive. :) Hey Cat, btw, you really ought to do Paranoia KCET Clean in the arcade, it's a pretty easy cata, no joke, might be more up your alley if you're all about Afronova and all.

All in all it was a good evening of exercise and I decided to snack on Gardettos when I got home. I think they're decent but not better than Cheezit Party Mix.
