dr4b: (Taki)
So I went to Central Market and bought some sandwich-making food and some snackish food, and came home. A bit later Ryan (Farren) showed up, and we sat around playing IIDX together for an hour and a half or so, which was really fun. We did some 5th style and some 6th style, and at his pushing, I passed a few new songs in 7-key. I even beat him at ONE song... B4U Light-7. :) We wondered where the heck Allan was.. but he didn't show up. Around 5:30 Steve (Gaffect, not aqua) showed up. I let Steve sit in for me with IIDX, and then KBM, and looked online for Allan, but no dice. Asked around a few other people whether they'd want to come over, but got no takers.

So eventually we launched into gratuitous N64 multiplayer games with just 3 of us. We played Bomberman 64, and Mario Tennis, and Mario Party 3. After that, it was around 8pm, and Allan showed up! Wow! Turns out he was fixing a computer for a guy. Also turns out the guy gave him a Neo-Geo for his troubles. So while Steve and Ryan and I made sandwiches, Allan tried out his Neo-Geo on my setup. It was funny to watch World Heroes, I hadn't seen that game in years. Anyway, after that, we busted out the Mario Kart 64. WOO! That was fun, we played it for quite some time. After that we moved on to F-Zero X, which was fun, but which was a pain in the neck to catch onto, and Ryan owned us all. Then... huh, more Mario Tennis, for a short period, and then of course, Super Smash Bros. I've discovered that I like playing Yoshi as much as Pikachu, not because I do well or anything but because it's cool to EAT the other players. :) We did one four-Pikachu battle though, which was pretty awesome. Then... hmm. I forget exactly what happened after that, but eventually I ended up playing Secret of Mana on my SNES. I bought SNES Zelda and Mario Paint off Steve (so I can give back [profile] aquatwo's copy and finally just have it to play whenever I get around to it), and I'm borrowing Secret of Mana, maybe to buy it soon. Everyone went home, and I sat around with Mario Paint a bit more. Dude, the music mode is REALLY funny. And the swatting game is also pretty nuts.

I know, it's probably a waste of a day, but I had a lot of fun hanging out and playing games on my new N64 with people, and I think it enjoyed the attention too.

I should try to sleep soon, so I can get up for work tomorrow. Sigh.
