Today was a Para Para party in Tacoma, with free PPP, Para Para videos, demonstrations, dancing, etc...

...except that I didn't go, because it was from 5-8, and I figured there was no way in hell I would get there on time (it's like an hour away). Instead, I went to the Seattle Center after work and played 2 hours or so of 5th mix. I actually played relatively well. A few people came and went while I was there, mostly newbie-types who would play like one round and go "you're really good, we'll just watch you" or such. (Part of the charm of the Seattle Center arcade is that I am generally the best player there when I go, as opposed to... uhh... everywhere else in Seattle.) The fun of the evening was at one point when I "rouletted" and ended up playing CSFiL Speed Maniac. Here is what is interesting - I didn't finish playing it, I stepped down about 2/3 through. But, it's not like I didn't have the SKILL to finish it. I didn't have the Stamina. I even had a full bar for most of the time playing, but I couldn't breathe by the time I stopped. That's just SO FRUSTRATING.
wow! deanna actually manages to meet and talk to someone new )
I got home and the network decided to die. Infact I think it's dead again right now, so I might send this in the morning. I assembled part of my entertainment/gaming center. When I finally got network back, I had email from the DDR guy I met tonight! Wow, how cool is that. I figured I would be the one to eventually track him down. He seems pretty interesting, so whenever I decide to finally check out Narrows, I'll probably go try to hang out with him.

As a followup to yesterday's post - the J-Eurobeat CD really does kick ass, although it makes me spontaneously start waving my arms around para-style. The Kawamoto Makoto album is not particularly great, as expected. Man, I'm dumb sometimes in picking CDs...
