Anyway... today I was woken up when my mom and stepfather knocked on the apartment door at 9:15am. Ugh. Not enough sleep for me. I showered and dressed and we all headed to IHOP (all being me, Mom, Nevin, Dan, and Emily), where we got breakfast. I got the Rooty Tooty thing since I haven't been to an IHOP in approximately five years. (The last time I went was in Philly with Nate. Hmm, maybe make that three years.) I was pretty tired, so I don't remember much of the conversation... mostly Mom asking questions and me mumbling stuff and eating. Afterwards we went back to Dan's apartment for more conversation. I guess it was ok. I really don't remember much to say about it, except the part where my mom got really confused when I told her that no, really, I was going to rent a house, not have them build one from scratch for me, and that you can't DO that if you live in the city, and I want to live in the city so I can walk places, and no, just because I know how to drive now does NOT mean I need to drive everywhere. And yes, Mom, you live in the middle of nowhere. What? You can drive 5 minutes and be at the mall? Great, but what can you WALK to from your house? Yeah. Thought so.

Anyway, tired as I was, I got on the road around 1pm. I was really really zonked. Stopped in Breezewood for caffeine, stopped on the turnpike for more caffeine. I'm surprised but glad I made it home alive. Maryland drivers suck. I had debated going back to Otakon, but by the time I was done talking to people I would have missed the concert and most other stuff. So. I got home around 5:45pm. Our apartment is sadly sadly empty. :( I laid down for a bit on our air mattress we're using for a bed now, and then went to campus. Got Eli and we went to Sunday dinner.

Lori and Ralph spent all day cooking for us for our last Sunday dinner, and damn wsa it good. They made barbecue beef, and a trifle for dessert. Yay! Many people were there, more than usual - the Morrissons, the Placeways, the Zweig-Cellios, the Mike, and the Meltons, and us. We sat in the airconditioned room and talked... no real game tonight, unless you count chasing cats.

Then we came back. I am in the cluster. There are tons of PGSS people behind me working on team project stuff. HA! I talked to Amy Ogan for a while. She seems to be having a fun summer.
wow, i bet this is my last lj post before seattle. we'll see.

anyone coming to the party tonight that didn't get the email... feel free to bring games and crap, but remember that anything you bring, you need to bring home. same for food and drink - it's great stuff but anything that gets left there will be thrown out at the end of the night.

we have two big things (desk and entertainment center) that could use disassembling and moving (or just moving). we also have floor lamps and fans to get rid of and some other stuff. would be great to see lots of people tonight, but i do admit that entertainment may be sparse. eh. we'll make our own! yeah. anyway, take our stuff. it'd suck for it to all get thrown out - rather, it should go to a good home (your home, that is).

bye bye LJ. see you on the other side.
