I have to get to sleep soon so I can go drive to Otakon tomorrow morning.

Anyway, today the packers came, as mentioned in my other entries. After that I goofed off for a bit, and then we went to some cafe thingy for dinner with Eli's advisor Roger, and Roger's wife and son, and this other guy in their lab. It was decent food, but I swear I said maybe 20 words for the whole two hours. I'm really bad at groups like that. Roger's son is pretty good at groups like that. (He's like 10 yrs old, I'm guessing.)

After that was over, I went to Beeler, bringing over some sewing work and a hard DDR mat, which I'm donating to OGS. [profile] alibash and I worked on Otakon costumes. Eventually I solved my upper-sleeve problems by just cutting off the lower sleeves. Yay. Krispy's costume is cute too. It was fun, although I spent way too much time in Beeler and now it's all late and I'm all worried about getting up tomorrow sigh.

Mark ([profile] rkane) and I had a priceless discussion on AIM earlier comparing SML and weddings. It was disturbingly accurate as a metaphor. I'm going to go off and write "Weddings for the Working Programmer", now.
