Today I went to the CS grad picnic with Eli. I got to eat a burger and try to play vball except it rained as we started, and I played some badminton with Eli and Charlie and Scott, and hung out with a lot of people and overall had a nice time, even though it was all rainy. I went to campus for a bit and hung out in the lounge and played some cards with Carl and Dan and Charlie. We noted that I go to more CS grad student social events than Dan does, despite that I am not a grad student and Dan is. I went to Steak'n'Shake for Wednesday dinner, and got to sit with rochberg and kw and Eli. It was good. This time Eli and I split a milkshake. Also, I got to drive to the waterfront and back and nothing bad happened this time at all, and it was really rainy. I get so hyper over driving now, it's sort of funny. I've also ceased tagging my entries as "driving" since I seem to get to drive every day or every other day now... hopefully this weekend I can learn parallel parking. Anyway, after dinner I did laundry, and Rebecca came over and we worked on a routine for Let the Beat Hit Em, which we're going to do in a DDR freestyle tournament in Michigan at the beginning of June. We look silly, but we actually came up with some cool shit for 10 bars of the song, out of 35, so that's pretty good. Now I am chatting with my friend Andrew that I've known since like 9th grade and listening to lots of silly dance music from DDR groups that Bayani lent me. Whee! And sleep soon.

Hm. I just found someone on LJ randomly who is not only one of my brother's best friends from elementary school but I think is actually one of my cousins. Well, it goes something like, a few years ago Neil's mom married a first cousin of one of my dad's first cousins, on the other side. I'm not quite sure where you rank that, since it's like, my dad and my dad's cousin have common grandparents, and then neil's mom married a guy who has common grandparents with my dad's first cousin. So what does that make me and Neil? Probably nothing, although most families would count that as some sort of distant cousins through marriage. I dunno. Anyway, at some point I'll probably decide to add him as a friend on here and he can find this entry and comment on it himself or something like that. Also, the word cousin is really weird and I'm not used to seeing it written. Probably because I rarely see any of my cousins except through acts of fate.
