(you need 240/400 to pass - believe it or not, most people who take the test fail... it is REALLY hard)

Wow! So now I have a certificate saying that the Japanese government recognizes that I knew enough Japanese to pass the level 3 proficiency test. Whee!

Dammit, where is Carl... I owe him a lunch.
note ten minutes later: Carl also passed! he passed the harder level than me, with an even higher percentage. yay!
