I'm sort of in my own little world at work again. I decided to put off the class "homework" again by working more on documenting one of the random things from one of the classes. I've also been putting most of my random idle mental cycles into refactoring my falling-pieces code. The refactoring is done now, I'm just trying to find time to write more of the Dr. Mario code. After discussing stuff with Dan and Carl tonight, I think my third game will be Antitris. I'm trying to think of other falling-pieces games that I really like, to write. Columns might be another good one. I've gotten a really good understanding of a lot of how Java inheritance works, though, and given some real thought into organization issues such as what should be static, what needs to be abstract, public, private, etc. It's fun.

At Kiltie Band, Ed made the BAQ something like "what is the average length of Kiltie members' instruments?" and I, being as I didn't feel like being witty, started writing Pi on it. I did 80 places and then gave it to Ed, and he continued where I left off. So it looked somewhat like

on the sheet. And then other people signed under us with normal things. Whee. So Ed was like "Wow, I didn't know you knew Pi to 80 places," and I was like "Well, I didn't know you knew Pi to 120!" or something. It was pretty funny. Band geeks and all...

Oh yeah, we found out, there are no more home games, the playoff game on the 17th is not happening. Oh well. Our Christmas concert is December 10th at 6pm in the Kirr Commons of the CMU University Center and is totally free of charge. Come see us play and hear neat holiday music and eat free cookies and see me with Christmas lights all over my baritone!

So rehearsal was fun, and afterwards I went and grabbed indian food and played pinball for a while, and then I went upstairs to await the SFFS (science fiction and fantasy society) meeting. Damn, was that an apathetic meeting. We mostly sat around and played with Play-doh and listened to a Neil Gaiman thing that Valerie had brought, I've already forgotten what it was called ("Shoggoth's old Peculiar"?). I left to play more pinball at one point, and then afterwards Carl and Dan and I went to Wean where we played Ricochet Robot for a while and Tigris&Euphrates. It was a pretty close T&E game - I was positive Dan was going to win, but I knew within 1 his exact count on his minimum color... it just turned out my counts for his other colors were waaaaaaaaay off. But I won by 1 anyway... my minimum was 9 and his was 8.

Then I came home and wrote up the invite to my 20 November party. If you're going to be in town on the 20th of November and like playing Bemani games ("20, November" is a Beatmania song that is also in DDR) and I forgot to invite you, let me know or something.

Now I can't decide if I should try some more para para, or go to sleep, or write code, or try translating this Japanese page for Catt, or what. Writing code for personal projects is so much fun sometimes though...

Ow my arms

Para para should do wonders for my arm tone. I can't believe how achy my arm muscles feel after just a half hour of trying to do some of the routines like Velfarre 2000 or Bandolero Comanchero. Boom Boom Fire doesn't take much out of me, but it's pretty easy, too. I also need to get some style.. I look pretty silly doing most of it, though I figure that just like ballroom, first you get down the steps, then you get down the style. I dunno.

Yesterday I got the heartburn stuff at 6am so I couldn't sleep very well through the night. Today it woke me up around 9:30am. I'm debating how long a stomach virus is a stomach virus and when to call the doctor.. I hate calling the doctor since I feel like I'm pestering them.
If you take that "do you take too many web tests?" test, you'll notice that the results are completely random and if you hit reload on the results page you'll get another random number and banner and etc.

I am mad because Laurel and I were going to have the "How lame are you?" web test and do the exact same thing, except I was too lazy to finish writing it and maybe it'll be stale in lieu of this one. Although I sort of thought the questions and answers in this one were really dumb, and not all that funny.
