I hate how sometimes Livejournal doesn't display things...

Anyway, time for sleep. We're at Sheena's house in Austin. Just Carl and I (and obviously Sheena and Dave) are here now, but about 20 mins ago we were still in the midst of a huge free-for-all Taboo game. We had Zach, Adam, Rehana, Brad, Oren, Roman, Carl, Me, Sheena, and Dave all playing. Tomorrow we're going to play DDR and maybe go dancing and do other random stuff, whee.

The flights were uneventful. You know, plane goes up, plane comes down; next plane goes up, next plane comes down. No delays or anything. I reread The Silent Blade on the plane; now I can read Servant of the Shard either during the weekend or during the next flight. Oh, and I showed Carl the people-mover with the music and stuff in O'hare, though we didn't actually have to switch terminals through it. I tried to take a picture, we'll see if it comes out.

Sheena's apartment is really warm. I mean, it's like 80 degrees in Austin and she has barely any A/C on.

Anyway, yay weekend. Goodnight.

So, we went to Texas Land and Cattle for dinner. This is good because I had the most amazing smoked sirloin ever. This is bad because everyone was so full nobody felt like doing anything after dinner except sitting around. So people are in the kitchen playing Fluxx, which I hate because it's so mindless and dumb.

I had a DDR-iffic day though. First Pace and Brad and I played DDR at Pace's house on Pace's cool DDR 4th Mix Solo machine. 4th Solo is cool. Pace is really good at DDR. He perfect-perfected "Boys", and also did some cool tricks on other songs. Then since Lorelei coming home was imminent and we didn't want to risk offending her, Brad and I left, and came home for a few minutes, got Carl and Roman, and headed down to the UT-Austin area. There are two arcades there, Le Fun and Einstein's, which have DDR. Le Fun has 5th mix, we started there... the only other people playing were these annoying skateboarder guys who were mostly just stomping and stomping on the machine - I kept hoping they'd fail but they did easy enough songs to keep up. Well, and there was also this guy Mark who Brad knows from DDR tournaments, who was really good - he could do S4R songs and everything. So watching him was entertaining, and playing DDR was entertaining... and Roman and Carl played other games and hung around. Then we went to Einstein's, which had 4th mix plus, and sadly the skateboarders were there already, but they left after a game or two and we had the machine to ourselves. We did pretty well and did a lot of fun songs. I came to this conclusion, though - it's not ability that stops me from doing 9-foot songs, it's simple stamina. I had a horrible stitch in my side after just doing Wonderland SSR and some 8-foot song I'm blanking on, that I could barely finish out a set of music... it was ok though. After we finished DDR we came home, changed, and got ready for dinner. Whee. Adam and Carl and I started a game of Tigris which Adam won after we got back.

I got to play Dance Maniax at Einstein's as well. It involves waving your arms above or below these sensors that are slightly above waist level. It's kind of stupid and I didn't do very well.

Anyway, I hope people decide to do something interesting, because I'm bored... maybe I should call Pace or Jason or someone back. Hmm.
