We (Amazon) just hired the guy (Udi Manber) who wrote the algorithms textbook I used in 15-451 (Algorithms) at CMU, as our Chief Algorithms Officer. Is that fucking weird or what?

Udi worked at my company. He did a lot. We've lost so many good people in the last year. I didn't know he had left until now.
Then again, i suppose i don't care too much about the place. But still.
You guys picked up a terrific new employee!
