HEY IT'S 20 NOVEMBER TODAY
This is dumb but if
februaryfour or
seishinbyou or anyone else I know in the Tokyo area sees this, I am going to head to Ikebukuro tonight and play some Bemani. Yikes, this is my TENTH year of this crap (my first 20 November was in 2000). Are there even any games that still HAVE "20 November" in them? Heh.
Anyway...
Today was a full day of 7 classes. After school I went to do some cheap solo karaoke. The guy recommended me one of the systems based on it having a lot of English songs and I gave him a look like "WTF are you talking about" and said, "洋楽は関係ないんですが。。。" Whatever. Anyway, what I was trying to do today was the scat in "行きたいのはMOUNTAIN MOUNTAIN" by Dreams Come True. I've just been singing it around my house a lot this week and figured I should spare my neighbors and give it a shot on the real machine. Stuff like that.
I went to Heiroku for dinner after that. There is a new young guy working there, I know I saw him there a week or two ago too, but I haven't actually seen him behind the counter, just working in back and the register and clearing stuff away. I already forgot his name and he's nowhere near as awesome as Kanno-kun was last year. Wonder if we'll ever get anyone as awesome as him or Onodera again.
Also went to Daiei to get groceries rather than Yokado. The problem is, as it turns out, Daiei still has Yakyu chips and had a sale on stuff like cream-bread, and the yummy strawberry&cream hard candies too, so whoops, I got too much junk food.
You know something silly? A lot of my students seem to like the song "Last Christmas". I was trying to tell them how the lyrics are really depressing, like "I gave you my heart, the very next day you gave it away", but then it turns out EXILE did a Japanese cover of it, which I'd heard but had just kind of ignored. And it made it so the song isn't nearly as bitter. How lame. I have half a mind to try to get the original song on CD and bring it to school as an English listening exercise. There's got to be some good grammar points in there.

Er, tonight as in Thursday night, or tonight as in Friday night? I can't join you tonight, trains have stopped (or will VERY soon) and I don't have a bike (or the inclination to cycle in this weather). ^_^; If tomorrow, tell me what time, I'll try to be there (but I can't promise, it's date night).[Edit: Oh, DUH, you meant go on the 20th of November. What time are you going to be at the arcade? I can't promise anything, but I'd love to hang out.]ETA: If I go to karaoke with Doug (or anyone else obviously foreign), eight times out of ten they will give me the English karaoke book. *laugh* I just thank them--I'm glad they try.

I am pretty flexible, but don't want to end up being out too late.
