fuck the giants

Seriously, I really didn't need my last Fighters game of the year to be like that.

I could have dealt with us losing if we had actually been losing all along, or if it was a blowout, or something like that.

But to be up 1-0 for the entire game, then to have the Giants tie it 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th, then to have Shinji put us up 2-1 on a homerun and then to have those fuckers hit TWO home runs in the bottom of the 9th to win the game 3-2 on a walkoff... that was just TERRIBLE.

Went out to an izakaya after that with a few other Fighters fans though not to drink... mostly just so I wouldn't head home alone immediately after that devastating letdown.

Feeling ridiculously grumpy.

I know I need to write updates about other stuff this week. Been too busy going to Japan Series games and blogging about them. Fuck.

Also I have a sore throat. Wonder if I am getting sick of some variety of stuff going around. There was no way I was going to miss today's game though. I was even in the second row of the Fighters outfield cheering section. Man.

Oh, the Series isn't over but the Giants are now up 3 games to 2, and the last game or two will be in Sapporo, so the Series is over for us in Kanto in a way.

It's a lot more common to come back one down in the 9th in baseball than injury time in soccer though.

Just watched the ending. A stunning finish. Not that it will make you feel better, but I have been through it too. You'll get over it in time, even if NH don't win both games in Sapporo.
