Rain rain rain
This morning, went to school, did English club. Came home, had lunch from the bakery and hung out in the dining room by the AC.
Afternoon, went to Shinjuku to meet up with J, a guy who had emailed me on the basis of "I'm staying in Tokyo for a few weeks and I love baseball and I'm a programmer from the US and wondered if you could drag me to a game." My schedule sucks but today's minor-league Marines-Searex game seemed like the best option.
However, we got to Yokohama and it was POURING RAIN.
So we got back on the train and came back to Shinjuku (and sigh, had to pay for the train down there anyway -- shoulda gotten off somewhere else) and got dinner at Momo Paradise just because I couldn't think of anything else offhand that I felt like getting in Shinjuku. We talked about baseball and about programming, and other sports and geeky things, and I wanted to show him the blocks game but couldn't find it in an arcade in Shinjuku, so off to Ikebukuro we went. We played the blocks game and it made me happy.
Then we went to Namjatown because he wanted to get ice cream and wondered if I knew anywhere good. I was like "This is overkill, but trust me when I say you'll get a kick out of the place". It was neat to wander through some of the stuff I hadn't seen there before! J agreed that it was really awesome and really retarded all at once, but in a good way. And we got ice cream at Ice Cream City... and wandered into the Pudding festival but didn't actually buy anything.

NO PUDDING, NO LIFE.
Look, you can see my sunburn line on my arms. Crazy.
Interesting evening overall but I'm sad there was no baseball. We might go to a game next weekend before he skips town, maybe.
