Many days' excitement all rolled into one day...

What a day. It feels like today was actually more like 4 or 5 days...

At 8:30am I was at the Kita-ku city office. I met up with Taku from my company and he gave me back my passport (yay!) with my new visa in it (yay!) BUT he didn't have my papers from Shinagawa. Notably my college transcript and my tax form. So I kind of freaked out on him... but went and got my gaijin card updated with my new visa date.

At 10am I was waiting in line at Omiya Prefectural Stadium for it to open. The Urawa Gakuin vs. Seibo Gakuen high school tournament game was supposed to start at 10, but due to rain and other stuff it didn't get underway until 11:30am. Urawa Gakuin lost 4-3. I guess I'm not following them to Koshien after all.

After that I went to Ikebukuro where I met up with [personal profile] februaryfour and [personal profile] doubt72 and special guest [personal profile] seishinbyou at Wendy's, and I had lunch, at 3:30 or so.

Then the four of us did karaoke for a few hours. At least Aaron knows Bemani songs! And he sang some great train nerd songs that I need to get ahold of sometime.

Doug ducked out after karaoke and Aaron and Ai and I went to some arcades, where I showed them THE BEST VIDEOGAME EVER aka Block People... and then they played DDR and I played Pop'n. I played one game of DDR Supernova with Ai and it makes me feel lousy to play. I don't want to re-injure my feet, and I don't have the reflexes to play anymore, and I really really don't like getting all sweaty.

Then Aaron went home, and we met up with Ai's friend [personal profile] pergamond and the three of us went to see the Harry Potter movie, for Ladies Day discount, hooray. I liked the movie, but I have totally forgotten the 5th movie. I may have just blocked it out of my mind. There were good and bad parts to this one, but the main overwhelming thing is... WOW those kids have gotten old. I liked most of their performances, didn't like Lavender Brown, didn't like Cormac, loved Luna yet again, and despite all the Quidditch still kind of wanted more. The HBP plot point itself was lame, too.

Then, as if I didn't do enough today, Ai and I went to Denny's for dinner after. I had salad. Hooray.

Now I am home and I have been awake almost 24 hours, yikes... and tomorrow I'm going to my JHS to run some English Club stuff. Whee.

Also, thankfully, it turns out I have another copy of my college transcript. Or maybe this is the one I had before and I didn't actually give him the original, though I swore I did. Weird. I feel kind of bad about freaking out, but I DO still worry about not having my tax form...
