School day, whee. It wasn't too terrible. This is an apple.
Went to the Tokyo Dome after work. Got there at 5:30. We had reserved seats in the outfield. I think I was a sweaty mess though, I feel bad for everyone. Sat with Hiromi and Ojisan and Wakachan. Hiromi went to Sapporo earlier in May and she brought me back personalized Fighters stickers which are ridiculously cute. I kind of blew out my voice cheering, which is bad because I have three more days of cheering to do. Oh, the Fighters lost, too, which sucked.
I realized tonight that part of what pisses me off about Giants fans is that... they're like... they're just not diehard baseball fans for the most part. They follow the Giants because that's the easy route -- the most convenient stadium, the team shown the most often on TV, etc, etc. They go to the games at the Tokyo Dome and wave their towels, and know who the famous players are, but don't know much more. I can't imagine the average Giants fan following the team around the country like the fans of other teams do. And why would they have to? Giants fans are everywhere and they're always on TV, so there's no NEED to travel.
I had another revelation but I already forgot what it was. I'm really tired.
Been listening to a lot of Spitz this week. Had a weird moment of "Wait, I understand this song and it is beautiful" when really actually bothering to catch the lyrics of "Sora mo taberu hazu" the other day. I almost wanted to cry. It was quite an odd feeling.
