So tired...
Last night I meant to come home and work on baseball blogging and on making some new signs to bring to the Fighters games this weekend, but instead I laid down "just for a little while" at 8pm and never really got up again until 6am. I mean, I woke up halfway through the night at one point but I wasn't really awake enough to DO anything.
I had a bunch of really weird dreams though. One of them, somebody was threatening to kill me, and for some reason I had a huge baseball collection, and people were stealing my baseballs and carving skulls out of them as threats. Really weird. The other dream I remember, I was taking the JLPT test, only all I could remember how to speak was Spanish for some reason.
I woke up thinking "CRAP! DID I MISS THE APPLICATION WINDOW FOR THE JLPT?" since I know it's being offered on July 5th and that's only a month away.
I'm not sure I understand the JLPT info page properly or not, but it SEEMS like people have until June 12th to send in the application. The question I have is mostly whether I can still GET the application, since the "uketsuke time" was until May 1st. So I might have to go to the big Kinokuniya and ask. Maybe I'll do that tonight.
I don't actually think I'm ready to pass the JLPT 2-kyuu to be perfectly honest. I should probly bring a practice exam with me to school and try taking it on one of these days where I have like 2 classes and spend like 6 hours just sitting at my desk in the teacher's room. I think if nothing else it would amuse the other teachers to see me studying for it since some students are studying for a big English standard exam in a few weeks.
(My language ability (or lack thereof) really bugs me. Though one of the teachers at my school -- one who teaches Kokugo, which is basically Japanese class in Japan -- asked me the other day, "When you go back to America, are you going to teach Japanese?" I was like "You have to be kidding. I can't speak Japanese worth anything!", but she said, "I usually can't talk to the foreign teachers at our school at all -- you're pretty good!")
Maybe I should see if I can sign up for the kanji kentei test my students are taking. Teehee.

The lower levels of it are actually quite fun, though, and it is offered multiple times throughout the year. You should give it a shot sometime if you are interested. Your school should have some material you can use for study. (There is also a series of Nintendo DS carts for that exam that is surprisingly good, but I digress)
