more sun, more yaki

I'm so tired. Must conk out shortly.

Um, got up at 8am, went down to Jingu to meet up with Pau, who had gotten us cheap 300-yen student tickets to the Tokyo Big 6 college league opening day games. (Since he's a Todai student he can do that, and they apparently hadn't sold many tickets at all, see.) Except, we got in and... found out that supposedly cameras were forbidden in the stadium. Though apparently it was only majorly being enforced near the cheerleaders? WTFever. So we moved closer infield and nobody bothered me at all with my camera, but sadly we were kinda far back. I wish I could sit over the dugout but I really don't get what the deal is with the seats for these games sometimes.

Anyway, we did infact get to see Suzuki-kun start for Todai, and Saitoh-handkerchief start for Waseda, and Waseda CRUSHED Todai 11-0 in that first game. At least I also got to see my Ohishi-kun, who is easily my favorite favorite college player ever, pitch the final two innings for Waseda. ♥!

Pau left but I stayed for the second game as well, Keio vs. Rikkio. This was a lot closer and a LOT crazier. Nakabayashi-kun, my favorite Keio player, started for Keio, and Tohmura started for Rikkio (though Nihira did pitch in relief a little). Anyway, Rikkio got one run in the first inning and that was IT for the entire game in terms of runs scored, it was a crazy pitcher's duel. I moved up one row to be on the concourse for the second game, and was next to an older couple... in the second inning, Rikkio catcher Maeda fouled a ball and it bounced and came right towards us -- and landed in the little old lady's back. She was like "it's on my butt!" and stood up and got the ball off her seat... and an usher came over, asked for the ball back, and gave her a Tokyo Big 6 pin instead as a "present". Doh! It was cool to see a ball and see what happened though. Rikkio won 1-0.

I got a nasty sunburn. My forearms are red, my neck is a bit red, there's a line on my scalp and my face is red too. Doh. I had sunscreen that totally... what's the word when the oil and whatnot separate? Yeah. So it went bad, but it turns out I have other sunscreen that perhaps did not go bad, so I should be more careful in the future.

After the game I dropped my crap off at home and showered and changed because I was a nasty sweaty mess, it was like 25 degrees out (around 77) and a lot hotter than I anticipated. So I changed, and went down to Tsukishima and met up with Tobin and friends again.

This time it was for monja-yaki, and there were 8 of us... Tobin, Kevin, and Range again, plus Yuzo Watanabe (who was in ECE at CMU a year ahead of me), and Yuzo's brother-in-law Toshi (or TJ), TJ's girlfriend Yuki, and Yuki's friend whose name I think is Mami but wasn't sure. We ate a ton of yaki-stuff and it was pretty good. And in fucking weird coincidences, TJ used to teach at Shin-Urayasu GEOS, and Yuki was the manager at the school, which is how they met in the first place. Weirdly, when I left Akabane GEOS, the guy who replaced me... came in from Shin-Urayasu. But waaaaay after these guys left it.

After dinner we planned to go drinking somewhere, went to Okachimachi, then the party kind of just dissolved. Which is just as well because I'm completely zonked. Infact, I am going to go succumb to sleep like NOW. Thinking of skipping Seibu-Fighters minor-league tomorrow due to laundry and just being really worn out.

de-emulsified, or you could say that the emulsion broke. either is correct, depends on the wording.
