Friday of not particularly much

Well, I mean, there was much, it just isn't really stuff to put in LJ. It was cold here. I worked on another resume, called a company, and also spent a while cropping hockey photos. And other stuff too.

OH, and I got my entire Fighters Fan Club package! It's SO AWESOME, besides getting the members card and the pinbadge and a dogtag, they ALSO gave us for the "fan club goods" this year, a "Stadium Pack". Which is basically a big totebag and a seat cushion. HOWEVER being as this is Japan, the bag folds up to be tiny, the seat cushion folds up to fit in the bag perfectly, and the bag is even "sized for carrying B4 cheering posters and your Fighters jersey and cheer sticks". Seriously, it's neat as all hell and I can't wait to start using it for Fighters games this year. And it turns out my friend who fixed my fan club data, is now working in Kamagaya instead of Sapporo! Hopefully I can stop by sometime and thank him in person.

In the evening, I went to try to pay rent, except it turns out Sumitomo won't let you do genkin furikomi after 6pm or something like that. Oops. So I need to do that on Monday. Since I was in the area anyway I had dinner at Heiroku, the old dude was at the counter again, but he was really nice to me for some reason. There was a little girl sitting next to me who would NOT quit staring at me the whole time though, which is still a little weird. The current tokusei maguro zanmai plate is really delicious though... I realized, when I thought about it, that I've wanted to go to Kura, but going to Kura would require like 300 yen in train fares for the 100-yen sushi plates... whereas if I only spend 1100-1200 at Heiroku anyway, am I really saving anything by going out there? Sigh. I don't know why I'm sweating the small stuff like this.

Anyway, funny thing happened in the evening: after seeing that Imabari Nishi got trampled 15-2 at Koshien, I came up with a relatively cheap way to go to Osaka for a day to watch the tournament -- the idea being taking a night bus both ways, which would run me around 9000 yen total on transportation and I wouldn't need to find a place to stay. However, just as I'd come up with the timing to go for Monday, leaving Sunday night and getting back Tuesday morning... I got an email saying a place I'd submitted my resume to wanted to interview me on Tuesday morning. So much for that deal! Seems like every time I make a baseball plan, I get an interview that prevents it, so I've really got to start coming up with some crazy travel ideas :)

It's Saturday now and I'm supposed to be going to the Marines-Giants game with the Murata family and Larry in like... soon o'clock. Guess I should call Mitch back and find out where/when the heck to meet up with them...
