Found this while making more bags of stuff to throw out and/or recycle (I find it really funny that I come back from Japan and I'm still separating my garbage by habit, by the way).

It's just funny because I REMEMBER that time period. I wanted to go to almost EVERY show on the ad and I knew there was no way I could! And that's how almost every Troc ad I took home felt! Now I look at live listings and have no clue who most of the bands are, and I feel old. (I guess I make up for it by knowing every Japanese artist I hear or see on TV?)

The other reason it's weird is because I'm not actually sure which ones I DID go to. I definitely went to two of them, I think -- Sick of it All with BTJ opening, and Matthew Sweet with Murray Attaway and Velvet Crush opening. I definitely didn't see Superchunk until I was in college, at any rate...

Anyway, I justified throwing out the ad by taking a photo of it and writing this LJ entry. I might do that with a few more items as I get rid of them -- no need to save the item when the important part is actually the memory.

Nope. This is a venue in Philly. I used to go to concerts there all the time in high school.
