my life is boring but I update anyway

I am somewhat convinced that I'm not actually sick but that this apartment is just dusty and dry. We have a humidifier running right outside my room (it's between the two bedrooms) but maybe that isn't enough. As for dusty, I don't know the last time my dad actually cleaned the apartment. I'm not sure I'm CAPABLE of cleaning it.

The reason I became convinced of it was, I went with my dad to the chemo room today at Thomas Jefferson hospital. And after an hour of sitting there, I actually felt entirely great, like I didn't have a cold at all. So. Maybe it's just all the dust in here. Ugh.

Anyway, not much to say -- yesterday I went hunting for Phillies stuff. Went to Modell's and also to the actual stadium. I want a Phanatic keychain to bring back for a friend in Japan, but those don't seem to actually exist, which is STUPID. Got a few World Series things, including the Phinally t-shirt.

Lee's Hoagie House apparently shut down their center city locations entirely, and I confirmed that the one at 17th and Chestnut IS really gone. Argh. Will have to go hunt down the one out on 40th, I guess.

Taking the subway down to the stadium, by the way, made me realize how EASY it is to navigate Japanese subways. At least we have signs all over the station saying which trains are coming next, and they announce EVERY stop. Maybe not always in English but if you're listening at all you should hear it. On the Broad Street Line here in Philly, there's VERY little information and they just say "doors closing" before they do -- I wonder how often people accidentally overstay their stops. Seems the Market-Frankford line has slightly better info but not by far.

Anyway, I kind of just fell asleep last night around 11pm while sitting around doing stuff on my laptop, hence didn't update. Only thing is, I kept waking up every 2-3 hours to drink water since my throat was dry and painful. So I don't think I really got the 9 hours of sleep. Ugh.

If there is an air filter for the heater, you might wanna ask if that was changed, and maybe do a basic vac on the carpet, and even the couch and see if the room improves some.. and crack the window to the outside to freshen the room.. I was going to IM you this morning when I saw your name on AOL IM but didn't want to bother you.

Mark is going to Jeff for a job interview Friday, by the by.. isn't it off of Broad near Race?

I agree with the above -- definitely check the filter on the AC/heater system, and even if it's relatively new, if it's not a very good one then go buy the best filter you can find. HEPA is your friend.
