it was a lazy sunday
I definitely have some sort of cold or something worse, my throat still hurts, it sucks.
Yesterday I barely moved from the couch in the living room in my dad's apartment all day. I wanted to stay up until a reasonable hour and then go to sleep, so I didn't nap in the afternoon this time.
Unfortunately I realize this is very bad for my metabolism and fitness and everything, and probly why I will weigh my old weight by the time I leave this goddamn country.
I ate lunch at noon or so, having a hoagie and chips and birch beer from the little store downstairs, and then ate dinner at 6:30pm or so, my dad ordering a Pepperoni Feast pizza from Domino's. It's this weird thing where he's TRYING to gain weight and I'm trying NOT to so.
There are all of these food places I want to get to while I am in town, and it's going to be an upward fight not to totally stuff myself. Sigh. Especially because we have all of those cheesesteak and hoagie places, as well as stuff like Mad Mex. And of course almost everything I love to eat here is very unhealthy. I'm going to have to find a place to get good vegetables and fruit here in Center City... that isn't too expensive, though I guess compared to Japan, nothing would be. I hear there's a Whole Foods down on South Street, it might look reasonable to me by now.
Oh, it turns out there is a gym in the building, and now it is actually free to use 24/7 for residents instead of being a Gold's Gym like it used to be. Of course, I have a cold now so it would be a little difficult to walk on a treadmill for a long time. But hopefully I will go down and use it sometime when I am feeling better.
But yeah, yesterday I just sat on the couch all day.
Today I'm hoping to at least go shopping for a while -- might walk around during the day and then hang out here in the evening, something like that. It's really cold. I'm going to go invest in some long underwear, something I haven't done in years, but it seems like a good idea.
