seize your knees and sneeze

How can I become more spontaneous if I have to plan ahead whenever I want to see anybody? Blah.

I don't feel like going to Geek Night tonight. And Laura is going to come over and give us a table and play DDR. But I sort of feel like I'm wasting a perfectly good evening, for some reason. And I have no plans for tomorrow night or Saturday night yet, and that gets to me. I dunno. I mean, I can always just spend the time with Eli, or doing stuff around the apartment, but I like having places to go and people to see. And my next two weekends I'll be out of town... blah.

Sewing without a pattern isn't so bad, depending on what you're making. If you have an existing garment that is kind of like the one you want to make (and that fits you well), you can more-or-less copy it. Otherwise, you can measure yourself (well, get someone else to do the measuring) and roll your own. Just remember to consider the drape of fabric; things cut on the bias hang differently from things that aren't, for instance.
