Tokyo Disneyland photopost and stuff
Okay, so today is my half birthday.
Also, Obama was elected.
Also, I am VERY behind on LJ friends.
I have a few minutes in an internet cafe now, so I will give a brief post and a lot of pictures.
Brian Grunkemeyer is in Japan now, he's staying at my house this week so I can be annoying and foist MY views of Tokyo on him. So far he's had to go to a Japan Series baseball game at Seibu yesterday, and to Tokyo Disneyland today. I posted the baseball game to Marinerds. Also, I made him eat okonomiyaki, curry bread, yakiniku, etc... trying to think of other fun stuff.
We wandered around Tokyo Disneyland today, it was my first time there, since I could never find anyone to go with me on a weekday. This was the PERFECT day to go because all the new crap for Christmas actually starts tomorrow, so there were very short lines relatively, the longest we waited for anything was 35 minutes or so for the runaway railroad rollercoaster. Space Mountain was like 30 minutes. And so on. We got to go on a lot of rides and walk around a lot. Also we got approached by a TON of kids from Shizuoka who had gaijin homework. That hadn't happened to me in so long I forgot how to react to it, but Brian is good at being a tourist. I mostly talked to the kids in Japanese, it was kinda funny.

At the front gate.

Brian with some of those kids who asked him questions.

A security guard asked if she could take our picture by Space Mountain.

I really kinda wanted some of this Alien stuff from toy story but decided it wasn't worth buying.

We looked for a shirt with actual Japanese on it. I found this. It's hilarious. It says "How many of you are there again?" in the way someone would ask when you enter a restaurant and such.
Oh yeah, this one is for
platypuslord and the CS lounge cardplayers -- I met the Two of Clubs!!!

Adding to it that we went in the one week between overhyped seasonal decorations must have helped so that waits were never longer than 30 minutes.
BTW I guess I won't see you before I head back to America for the winter, will I :( Sorry...
