whoa, a public entry

I ate a lot of maple cookies today.
Last night I ate chocolate ice cream for dinner.
I should probably worry more about my eating habits than I am right now.
Went for italian food for dinner with some of my students tonight though. That was good.

Last night finished the series Walking Butterfly. I was a little sad by the ending... but I guess it made about as much sense as the rest of the show. I looked into movie listings for Flying Rabbits and it already fell out of the Movix rotation after 2 weeks, which probably means it is not very good. Who knows. I found out that the next Friday midnight dorama is supposedly called Mendol and is about three teenage girls who want to be idol singers (naturally played by idol singers from the AKB48 group), but who witness a murder and so a producer says that sure, they can be idols... but they have to be BOY IDOLS. So yeah, given this is Japan, nobody notices that three girls are acting as three boys, because all the boy idols look like girls anyway. Or something. I suppose it may be funny.

No more minor league ball this year, and I didn't go on Friday :(
Very little baseball left, period. Sad.
Can't decide whether to go to Seibu on Sunday or Monday. Leaning towards Monday. Eh. I think I'll go to Jingu and watch some college ball tomorrow instead.

I should clean my apartment. Yikes.

It got cold in Japan. Like it went from unbearably hot to unbearably cold in the span of pretty much one week. Sigh.

I bought a new Spitz album the other day, an old one really (the second Cycle Hits one). It's good.

I've got three baseball blog entries in my half-finished pile now. I don't even know why i bother... I should just post them as is.

you know, I've really enjoyed reading your baseball stuff! It's been the catalyst for many google entries. And wikipedia reading. Fun! Alaska has just this week gone from summer (50 degrees and rainy) to fall (30-40 degrees and rainy) and all the alders are turning gold. There's that bite in the air I always associate with college football and also with old-time academia, like a Kingsley Amis book. Leather elbow patches and meerschaum pipes, college scarves. Like, back to school time, back in the day. I don't know why.

I haven't seen it in a decade or so, but I wonder if they have weekly RHPS in japan?

It turned cold here yesterday. It has felt good outside at night for a few days now, last night I went out and just happened to have a long-sleeved shirt on. I'm glad too, because even with that it felt a bit chilly. And Friday at work it was hot. Crazy.

Unbearably? For me it was like, LIBERATIOOOOOOONNNNNN. *"champion" gesture* I am free of the suffocating humidity! NOW I WILL GO FORTH AND CONQUERRR.
