Last Fighters game in Kanto this year :(
...and they lost :(
I wanted to say hi to Brian Sweeney before the game but mostly failed. The college guys who always cheer for the gaijin pitchers found me near the bullpen and were like "we're gonna go cheer for Sweeney while he warms up! come with us and cheer in English for us!" So I did. Maybe that's why he lost :(
The good part is people. People who left me free tickets, people who let me sit with them in the stands, people who talked to me, people who rode the train with me, etc.
And at least Toru Hosokawa didn't hit a grand slam, but Kataoka and Etoh hit home runs instead. I swear that this is like my 9th game at the Seibu Dump and I have NEVER seen them lose.
Unfortunately I think my Kensuke inflatable hand has a hole in it somewhere. Argh. Yeah, and for whatever reason today Kensuke led off and Hichori batted 2nd. That was odd.
Oh yeah, these are my new best friends:

Hehe, just kidding. But these guys go to all the Fighters games and cheer and keep score. I've seen them a lot and today I sat with them for part of the game, so people were like "now there's THREE scorecard people!" thus I said "let's take a picture!"
Apparently after the game there was base-running and fielding going on, but I didn't feel like staying for it. Takagi was supposedly going to go hit grounders to people, heh.
Now I'm home... and I have two super-busy work days ahead of me :(
