my feet are too long and too narrow
I wanted to go to a baseball game today because of yesterday's rainout, but today was also raining, so I wasn't sure what to do.
I thought of going to Yokohama for Takuro Ishii's birthday, but didn't feel like sitting through a possible rainout. Turns out he didn't even play anyway!
I thought of going to the Tokyo Dome for the Dragons game but decided I didn't feel like paying a lot of money for crappy seats.
I thought of going to Chiba but was just too apathetic and hadn't really asked in advance, plus... Orix? And Shunsuke Day is tomorrow anyway.
So I stayed home and watched the Fighters-Lions game over the net and the Dragons-Giants game on TV for the 1.5 hours they ran of it.
Before that, though, I went to the mall for a bit.
I was hoping to find new sneakers, and a JLPT 2-kyuu application. (I still don't understand how I send the application money in for it... given this is Japan do they just mail cash or something?)
But, I couldn't find either.
Went to Sports Authority and tried on some shoes; found a pair I really liked, a New Balance 328 or something like that. Only problem is, my feet are width D or so, maybe E, and ALL SNEAKERS IN JAPAN ARE LIKE WIDTH 4E WTF. Seriously. My feet are too long for women's shoes here and too narrow for any shoes. Argh. I thought the shoes felt fine but the staff there convinced me not to buy them because they will HARM MY FEET BY BEING TOO WIDE.
The bookstore at the mall didn't have any Japanese learning materials, either. I want some more JLPT practice tests since I already know what the reading materials are about in the 2006 test.
I think what'll happen is, during a free afternoon time this week when I have like 3-4 hours, I'm gonna head down to Harajuku and find the damn New Balance shop and demand my gaijin narrow long foot shoes and see what they have. And then I'll go to Kinokuniya and ask the language learning people about the JLPT.
whee.
Ainori was weird. They managed to completely get Umi off the show. I feel bad because he's been around a while but was always in the background, and suddenly he's like "ok! i'm confessing to Momo!" and we're all like "WTF?" She turned him down, which isn't surprising. But whatever. Next week they get two new members and Yokko turns 30. Weird. Also before the show they showed a clip from an Ainori event at Odaiba (WHY THE HELL DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS I TOTALLY WOULD HAVE GONE) where Kuro and Zomahoun were talking. Apparently Ryo and Remi showed up and are still together, except he put his arm around her and she was like "get your arm off me!" I guess it's the same as always.

For Nagoya, no EXACT plan yet and oh man, I do need to go buy tickets to the Dragons game before I forget. It shouldn't sell out but I should buy them soon anyway.
I was thinking of coming in morning-noonish, and maybe we could do karaoke in the afternoon and go to the game after? I don't know if I'll stay overnight or not and I might not decide that for sure until a day or two before I come, though.

It's the 7th that you're coming, right? Sunday? Since you had mentioned maybe all night karaoke, and I don't know how long baseball games usually last, I was thinking about taking Monday off from work. That's why I was wondering if you had a plan. But I probably can ask next week sometime about the vacation day, if need be, so no worries!
