Harnessing my inner Japanese teenager

I have to email some people but I hate sending phone emails at night for fear I will wake them up, which is only half stupid when you think about it. (I personally turn my phone sound ON at night so I WILL be woken up by calls/email but maybe I'm weird.) All about baseball, of course. Cementing a couple of plans, seems like the next few weekends are gonna be fun, still gotta make plans for Nagoya trip on Sept 7th (dear [personal profile] kawaru and [profile] teravell I need to bug you guys) and maybe for a night in Sapporo. I love travel! I love baseball! Happy happy genki genki monkey monkey!

Today was okay. Little bit of a slow day at work, several people missed classes due to Obon I suppose. One of them basically came by just to say goodbye before moving to Singapore in a week or two. Pretty surreal that.

After work, went down to Ikebukuro, met up with [personal profile] catbus at St. Tropez, we played some Pop'n and then I dragged her to El Torito in the Sunshine City mall. What sucks is, I have been there a whole bunch of times, and always gotten good food and good service, but this time was TERRIBLE. We had to wait forever, they forgot to bring forks, they got my order wrong, etc, etc, etc. Really weird. Shit, that sucks, because I had been really looking forward to Mexican food since I suggested it a few days ago.

Well, after waiting around and chatting at the Mexican restaurant for several HOURS (we did get food, it just took forever), we went BACK to St. Tropez and did sparkly print club (seriously, what the hell has happened to me such that I am addicted to purikura, UFO catchers, karaoke, etc? am I trying to harness my inner Japanese teenager?) and played some Bemani, including Pop'n battle mode and whatnot. I have to admit that I think I completely suck at "hanging out at the arcade"; I like spending time in arcades but I never know exactly what to do there WITH other people exactly. Something about the end of the DDR era in my life several years ago kind of ended my "hang out at the arcade" mentality, I think.

But, anyway, I'm a huge spaz, but other than that it was fun to hang out with someone from the PNW Bemani crowd, even if I totally have no clue what is up with that scene at all anymore. And I'm really jealous, I wish I could have been a college student in Japan or done study abroad, but I was simply too poor at the time.

BASEBALL WEEKEND GO!!
(crap, need to finish my Tadano sign)
