mad pictures!

I uploaded a bunch of pictures to use for LJ. Actually, I don't even care if I use any of them. I just thought that it is sort of interesting to see how much you can express in 100x100 pixels. There are some really cool pictures I have that utterly don't translate down to that size, and some that work pretty well. I dunno.

I also decided to go ahead and pay for an LJ account. This was mostly so I could upload pictures, but also because I figure, hey, it's cheaper than crack.

i need more pictures of my friends. not just for LJ but because i don't have good pictures of enough of them. (but if i had them I could make LJ pictures too!)

it would be really depressing if some of my friends that i've known for like 4+ years managed to escape me without me ever taking a picture of them. by the way - are you taking classes at Filmmakers? how hard are they to get into? i've never taken a real photography class and I think it would be fun to learn how to do real stuff, like composition and developing film and all.

yeah, I'm taking Black and White I--i signed up for it like 3 days before the term started--I too was worried that they were wicked hard to get into, but I got my first choice section! There were like 3 spots left! I dunno, I think, especially if you're somewhat flexible, it is not hard to get into the classes at all. I don't know why everyone else says/thinks that, unless I just got lucky.

go sally! yeah, you are probably right. filmmakers is only like two blocks from here, i should go pick up a class schedule or something and see about taking classes next semester. i'm sure winter is a great time for black and white shooting.

I took the basic black & white class at Filmmakers a long time ago (1991). It was pretty good -- a lot of work, but you learn a lot. And developping your own pictures is fun!
