I like afternoons, sometimes

I've come to terms with the idea that as long as I can't do anything in the evenings with this eikaiwa schedule, I might as well take advantage of the fact that I can kinda sorta do things in some afternoons if I plan it right (namely Wednesday when my first class is 5pm and I just have to be back by 4ish, and Friday when my first class is 6pm and I have to be back by 5ish). So today I went down to the Tokyo Dome area from around 1:30pm to around 3pm. It was crazy crowded because for some reason they were either opening up the stadium or the ticket gates or something at 2pm, for a 6pm Giants-Orix game, which I utterly don't understand. Whatever.

I bought a single ticket to the July 13th Sunday afternoon Baystars @ Giants game, pretty much in the same seat I had for the Fighters game a few weeks ago, right in the middle of the Yokohama ouendan. Should be fun. I figure yelling and hitting things and hating the Giants for a few hours should be pretty relaxing, and even better if the Stars win. I could only get a single ticket in the ouendan though (it's marked as sold out, which YET AGAIN meant "sold out unless you are alone"), debated getting two tickets in the upper deck but then figured that 1) I dunno if I could convince anyone to go with me and 2) I'd be surrounded by Giants fans. Screw that.

Went to Yamashita, got the new Doala picture book (entirely worth it for this adorable picture of an 18-year-old Tatsunami holding a Dragons koala stuffed animal about 7 years pre-Doala). Went to the arcade, was tempted by a UFO catcher with a sleepy Stitch in it. Took me 4 tries to get it. Doh. And then I went to the kaitensushi across from Suidobashi station, which at 2:30pm apparently doesn't actually bother putting anything on the belt. Bad: I am indecisive. Good: it meant I decided to order some stuff I usually wouldn't. Shrug. And then I came back up to Akabane.

My kids class sucked. It's kind of like the chaos it used to be, only now I don't think I care.

After work I played some Pop'n. Almost got through an Expert Random 27 course (failed in the 4th song). At least I'm trying to advance a little, I guess... I felt too comfortable with Random 26.

Oh yeah, this morning I actually caught people online on Puzzle Pirates for the first time in a bazillion years. It was weird to like, pillage with people again. I kinda miss it in an odd way though. Definitely feels like a past lifetime though (considering I started playing like 5 years ago).
