Monday
I rode my bike 7km to Lotte Urawa Stadium, sat in the hot hot sun for 4 hours, watched the Marines and Eagles farm teams slug it out to a... 10-10 TIE game in 11 innings, and rode my bike 7km back home. I have no idea how I survived all of that. I was ready to collapse by the end. I came home, showered, changed, and just lay down on my floor for like 20 minutes.
Then I went to the grocery store briefly, and... I cooked Velveeta shells'n'cheese for dinner, thus negating all of that bike riding exercise. Woohoo!
Mostly zoned out for the evening, watched TV, wrote some words, worked on some pictures, etc. Thank god Zomahoun is finally off Ainori and stuff will actually HAPPEN again, though I think they're gonna push Kuro off the show soon, and she's been pretty entertaining most of the way. I also enjoyed SMAPxSMAP, they had two models as the bistro guests. Sada Mayumi was in a bunch of doramas (notably she played Shizuka in Hanadan), and Hasegawa Jun I've seen somewhere before. She's half-American and you could tell by the way she pronounced some Japanese-Englishified words.
My new Lotte minor-league boyfriend (now that Nemoto is up for good) is definitely going to be 1B/OF Takumi Kohbe. He's like 6'5, which is just crazy tall for a Japanese guy. Hopefully by the time he becomes a regular on the top team, I won't be too shy to talk to him...
Oh yeah, two funny things happened at that game. First, one of the Rakuten guys got caught stealing second to end an inning. A lady sitting near me yelled "Hetakuso!" ("You SUCK!") at him. Jin Nakatani, backup catcher, had been throwing with Shingo Matsuzaki on the sidelines, and he yelled back at her something that I didn't entirely catch, but which was something about his running speed, and maybe her running speed too.
Second, there was a super-close pickoff at first and the umpire called it safe and 1B Masato Watanabe just went mental on him. It was pretty amusing.

Masato goes mad.

My new boyfriend Takumi Kohbe.

My other new boyfriend. Yuta Shimoshikiryo, he's a submarine pitcher and his hat comes off with every pitch. If he makes it to the top team he'll be Shunsuke Junior.

This is Yuki Karakawa-kun, the Lotte number one draft pick from last year. He's already got a 3-1 record in 43 innings pitched on the top team. Oh, and he turns 19 in two weeks. No joke. Lisa calls him Karaage-kun.
