Yesterday's game:
Today's game:
Yeah, so today I got home around 5:30am, went to sleep for about 4 hours, then went to Yokohama. Met up with Shinsuke (from CMU), and also with Junko and Keita and Shoichi from Urawa, and we went to cheer for the Fighters. I was the token crazy fan, and they all yelled and sang and cheered with me (and drank beer, which I did not; Shoichi even bought me a beer but I had just gone and gotten an iced tea, so Shin ended up drinking mine instead). The Fighters kicked ass and demolished the Baystars, they were up like 8-1 after 3 innings, eventually winning 9-3, with the game hero being HAJIME MIKI?!?!? Even Fighters pitcher Fujii got two hits, which should tell you about the kind of bad day Baystars starter Nasuno was having. Junko and Keita were excited to see Yataro Sakamoto pitch because he went to high school with them (Urawa Gakuin, same as Kizuka and others), BUT they were surprised since they didn't know he was on the Fighters!
I ended up letting Junko use my cheer sticks for most of the game, so now my arms hurt from clapping :)
After the game I walked around the Kannai area with Shin for a while. He ended up on the brunt of one of my gaijin rants for a while, but then we made up for it by talking about random geeky stuff for an hour in the station.
I slept for the entire train ride home, over an hour of it at least. Then I did laundry and ate cheap sushi (Kura) and went grocery shopping and whatnot. At Kura, the guy next to me and I both ordered negimaguro hosomaki, and some retards further down the line who don't understand the system took it. Usually I would just go "wtf" and order another one or two, but the guy was really pissed off so he called over the staff and ranted at them for a minute, like "I ordered it and so did she and some idiots stole it. Bring us some, not on the belt, okay?" So they brought us some. When I was leaving the counter guy was like "sorry about the hosomaki", and I was just like "err... no problem..."
Tomorrow's game: meet up with Andy (friend from Seattle) in the morning and show him around town. We were going to go to Akihabara originally, but I have this feeling that's not going to happen now. (I heard about the stabbings while walking around with Shin... he got a text message from one of his friends saying "omg, some crazy dude is stabbing people in Akiba" and we were both kind of freaked out about it.) So I'm not sure. Guess it'll depend on weather. We're gonna play it by ear, I think.
