Driving, and maybe visiting some of you
Barbara took me driving again this morning. I learned more about stopping and blind spots, in the Morewood lot, and then we went through Schenley Park and Squill again. We drove up a LOT of Beechwood. I only got honked at once this time and it was dumb of me - I pulled over to the side during a curve, to let the 4 cars behind me pass... anyway, I guess I'm getting a little more confident at the wheel, but I still worry.
On another note, hey, USAir did just seem to cut prices to Seattle. I was thinking it might be fun to travel during CMU's spring break (because I have no Kiltie or other things to worry about skipping, and many people out of town so I won't feel bad for not hanging out with them). Would it work for me to come to Seattle on the Tuesday or Wednesday of that week, and fly back here on Saturday or Sunday night or something? I'm assuming I could hang out with some combination of people during the days and evenings... like
seanmcguire and
jeliza are maybe a little more available during the day, and
mh75 and her crew are more available in the evenings, and so on... I wonder if there's someone I should try to contact at Microsoft or anywhere else in Seattle, I could even maybe send in a resume and see if they'd want to hire me to write SDK documentation or something, and be like "I'll be in the area anyway, want to interview me?" The problem is I don't have any *really* good friends at MS. Mostly just acquaintances, like blk's sister, or CMU people who I've not really kept in touch with, like Marcin, or Camille, or whoever. Whee.
