The Muppets take Maki-zushi
You know, I was kind of terrified after driving, but since that lesson today, I do sort of feel like I want to get behind the wheel again, and learn learn learn, as quickly as I can, even though I'm really scared. So we'll see.
After the driving lesson, I hung out for a few minutes here, then walked to campus. The UC was all full of this crap for a "president's ball" or something, so there wasn't any gaming going on there. I never did actually find gaming club. I did play a little pinball (damn the change machine for still being broken - grr) and then I found the Magic players in the CS Lounge. I played a few hands of bridge with people and watched some Magic and chatted with some people and then went home again - it was a good 2-mile walk for me, really.
Nick and Carl and Charlie came over around 8, right after the huge blizzard, and we made some sushi, which was a lot of fun, and watched the Muppet Movie, which was even more fun. Eli had bought salmon this morning at Benkovich's, and we still have/had half an eel left, and got some avocado and cucumber and all. We're becoming a little better at rolling maki now, at least. And Charlie actually made some nigiri - that was kind of cool. The Muppet movie was cool as always, too. I really do love that movie. It's funny how many "famous" people are in it that our generation doesn't really know about though. I guess I was brought up knowing who a lot of the actors were because my mom would watch movies like that with me and tell me who they all were. That's at least a little of my mom's influence in me, that my favorite movies are the Muppet Movie and Singin' in the Rain, and I know a shitload of trivia about both of them.
It was good to chat with people, too. Sigh, I hate the idea of leaving Pittsburgh. Err. I hate the idea of leaving all of my friends. Pittsburgh the city I could give or take. Yeah.
