Apparently somewhere through the night my HEATER STOPPED WORKING

I can't figure out how or why

My little space heater is still working, which is probably the only reason I didn't freeze to death

I can't tell if like, a fuse is tripped, or what, and I don't have time to check because I have to be at work like, SOON. Though I kind of doubt that because everything else electrical in the apartment is working EXCEPT the heater, though it is plugged into a different outlet, still, oh god, what the hell am I going to do? I tried flipping switches on it but nothing seems to have worked.

The biggest problem is that it's the heater/aircon combined unit. So even if I go buy another space heater, I'll be fucked in the summer when I need airconditioning.

Did you talk with your landlady about this yet? It must be her responsibility to get it fixed...and with it cold, additionally important to prevent frozen pipes.

Our heating company will come out 7 days a week if your furnace breaks. I'd expect similar service in Japan, so there's no excuse for her to wait around on this.

No, the problem here is not knowing who to call, nor knowing the correct language to call them in. I honestly don't know if my downstairs neighbor is my landlady or not. Seriously. I think she might have gotten very confused in what she was telling me. I'm going to go down and try to talk to her in a bit if she's actually home, but if she's not, I seriously don't have anyone to ask about this issue. It's really fucked up.
